A specialst in the design of equipment for use in locations made hazardous by the presence of flammable materials, he has become a world recognized expert in this field through his associated work in the International Electrotechnical Commission and various standards committees within the U.S. In addition, he has served as an instructor for the Instrument Society of America for the past 8 years, teaching a short course on Electrical Safety in Hazardous Locations as well as presenting similar courses abroad.
