Abstract

Currently, there is the problem of reducing the gap between the relevance of educational programs of higher education institutions and companies, it is required, that the incorporation to the productive sector by graduates is carried out easily, reducing induction times and costs, allowing have human resources with the necessary skills to occupy strategic positions in organizations. The objective of this research is to present the proposed intervention of the Dual Training Model at the Universidad Veracruzana, a higher-level educational institution in Mexico, which was implemented in the second semester of 2020 with the incorporation of last semester students to previously said model. A non-experimental, exploratory and descriptive research was carried out under a conceptual and theoretical methodology that allowed to carry out the conceptualization obtaining the results and then, formalize the model, considering the national and international initiatives that have been successfully adapting them to the socio-economic characteristics of the institution and its surroundings. As a result of the research, it can be affirmed that currently, the Universidad Veracruzana has a Dual Training Model, a situation that will allow an assessment of the relevance of educational programs, this being an alternative to reduce the aforementioned gap.
