Abstract
One of the most interesting aspects of Japanese culture is its ability to adopt and integrate new customs, while maintaining many older and even uncommon customs. This phenomenon is seen easily in the variety of Japanese restuarants. Along with computer-aided waitresses in Denny'sstyle restaurants, and the pizza, spaghetti, and burger chains, are traditional noodle shops, yakitori and eel grill restaurants, and sushi bars.
