Abstract

This paper deals with an in-process visualization method of machining state to support the state recognition of human operators in machining. In order to realize the recognition support, an accurate state estimation technique that associates sensed data with the machining simulation was proposed. The method is based on the Sensor-based Simulation (SBS), which associates sensed data with the machining simulation. Furthermore, a classification and procedures of SBS are also discussed. The framework of SBS method is introduced for the accurate machining state estimation. The association procedure by result transformation is described. The effectiveness of result transformation is demonstrated by developing a prototype system of thermal state visualization.
