Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine factors that hinder library usage and factors that promote library usage. Undergraduate business students (n = 255) in a large public university were surveyed. Students who were involved in a student club or who did not have a quiet place to study at home were more likely to go to the library. In contrast, students who had a quiet place at home were more likely to use the online resources. Finally, a student’s love of learning was the strongest predictor for both in-person and online library usage. Suggestions on how to encourage students to love learning are discussed.
