Abstract
Abstract The infrared emission spectrum of Δν= 1 bands of TlF has been observed. The ν= 1-0 to 6-5 vibration—rotation bands of 205TlF and the ν= 1-0 to 4-3 bands of 203TlF were assigned in the wavenumber range between 380 and 500 cm−1. The analysis has led to a set of values of eight Dunham coefficients, Y10, Y20, Y30, Y40, Y01, Y11, Y21 and Y02, of 205TlF. Y10 and Y20 were determined to be 476.947(12) and −2.2445(71) cm−1, respectively, with twice the standard errors in parentheses. The infrared diode-laser spectrum of TlF has also been observed and the assignment of some spectral lines is shown.
