Abstract

Fourier transform emission spectrum of a high-temperature molecule, GeS, was observed at 900 K with a resolution of 0.1 cm −1. The ν=1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 vibration-rotation bands for 74GeS and the ν=1-0 bands for 72GeS and 70GeS were assigned in a wavenumber range between 520 and 605 cm −1. All spectral lines were analyzed in a single least-squares fit to a set of eight Dunham coefficients Y ij of 74GeS. Y 10 and Y 20 for 74GeS were determined to be 574.267 (27) and −1.639 (17) cm −1 with the standard errors in parentheses.
