Abstract

It is shown that the digital environment significantly influences changes in social communication, information dissemination and knowledge, formation of axiological structures of social groups, self-identification of personality, and society as a whole. It is argued that the breadth of the spread of the digital information space and the depth of its penetration into everyday life have determined the necessity of refining the categorical apparatus for its designation and study. The category “informational-digital continuum” is proposed to denote the entire set of existing digital devices and phenomena of digital culture, united by a single foundation.
