Abstract

Introduction: We assess how Movement disorders influence the survival of primary Total Knee Arthroplasty implants. Methods: Retrospective observational study analyzing patients who underwent primary total knee replacement in our center who required revision surgery. Results: We found a higher prevalence than expected by age of Movement disorders in the primary total knee replacement group that required revision due to aseptic loosening. Conclusion: Movement Disorders seem to influence the survival of primary total knee replacement implants.
