Abstract

Holographic storage was presented in the green light with doping thiol into silica nanoparticle-embedded acrylate photopolymer to suppress the inhibiting effect of the oxygen. It is found that the extent of oxygen inhibition on the polymerization was greatly reduced with the increase of the thiol concentration. Additionally, noticeable improvement on the recording sensitivity by doping thiol into silica nanoparticle-embedded acrylate photopolymer was obtained and the influence of the thiol groups concentration on the diffusion of silica nanoparticles is also investigated in this holographic material.
