Abstract

We conducted a 28-day long period co-propagating longitudinal acoustic wave experiment to monitor the change of nonlinear elastic modulus of rock. During the monitoring period, we monitored the atmospheric pressure and temperature of the environment. We analyzed the relationship between the change of nonlinear elastic modulus of rock and atmospheric pressure and temperature. We found that the change of them appears high consistency. But the change of ΔM\\/E is not sensitive to small amplitude change of atmospheric pressure. And there is a certain delay with the influence of temperature to the ΔM\\/E.
