Abstract
IgA nephropathy (IgAN)is the most common primary glomerular disease worldwide, and also one of the common causes for end-stage renal disease. IgAN is now considered to be a kind of autoimmune-mediated inflammatory disease. However, the pathogenesis of IgAN is still unclear. Previous basic research and clinical observation have shown that inflammation is associated with the pathogenesis, aggravation, and progression of IgAN. This article will discuss the relationship between inflammation and the pathogenesis of IgAN, and further discuss the effect of inflammation intervention on the clinical features and prognosis of IgAN. Key words: IgA nephropathy; Inflammation; Pathogenesis; Therapy
