Abstract

A simple inexpensive system for live stroboscopic holographic interferometry is described. Particular attention is given to the light-saving techniques made necessary by the low-cost, and therefore weak, lasers available. Time averaged and stroboscopic methods are discussed and a simple stroboscopic system is described. Finally some techniques for altering the basic sensitivity of the method are briefly outlined.
