Abstract

Stunting in Tasikmalaya City has increased, one of which is in Gununggede Village, Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City, there are 75 children experiencing Stunting. Fish nuggets are an alternative food to improve children's nutrition. The aim of the activity is to increase nutritional knowledge and behavior among stunted children among PKK mothers in Gununggede Village as an effort to prevent stunting. Based on the results of the situation analysis in the Gununggede Subdistrict area, information was obtained that the community does not yet understand the dangers of stunting in children and understands that one of the efforts to reduce stunting is by processing high-nutrient foods that children like, one of which is making fish nuggets. Providing education to PKK mothers who act as mediators of family health information in the community is expected to be the first step in solving problems. This training in making fish nuggets was delivered using power point media and direct practice. The participants' positive response to this activity was seen from the participants' activeness during the discussion. Based on the results of pre-test and post-test data processing, which consisted of 10 multiple choice questions, the n-gain value obtained by PKK women in Gununggede Village was 6.3% and 7.1%. This shows that there is an increase in the understanding of PKK mothers before and after providing education. The method used is by providing information on Stunting Prevention material to children. To evaluate the increase in knowledge regarding healthy foods high in fiber, respondents will be given pre- and post-questionnaires during the activity. This service activity will be carried out by PKK mothers in Gunung Gede Village, Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City.
