Abstract

Among 504 children with mild illness, 6had positive slide agglutination tests for mononucleosis and among 492 apparently well children, 4 had similar positive laboratory findings. These observations support the assumption that infectious mononucleosis is more prevalent among infants and children than is generally recognized.
