Abstract
The article discusses the issues of early detection of forest fires. Currently, traditional monitoring methods are gradually being replaced by modern technologies based on automation and the use of artificial intelligence. The system of remote video monitoring “Lesohranitel”, which has been widely used in many regions of Russia, is considered in detail. The main advantages of this system and the basic principle of operation are considered. The scheme of communication organization of the considered system is presented, the main ways for its improvement are defined.
