Abstract
The modern transport industry is the largest and most important component of the overall economic infrastructure. The establishment of key areas for increasing the competitiveness of JSC "Russian Railways" is necessary in order to increase the productivity of this company, in addition, it will contribute to the effective improvement of infrastructure and maintenance of the road transport and logistics concept of the RF Currently, there are many controversial issues that require in-depth theoretical and methodological development in the field of studying economic laws and mechanisms operating in the transport industry. The existing uncertainty is largely due to the enormous complexity of the object of study of the mechanism of organizational and economic relations, including innovation and investment processes arising in the management system of the railway industry.
