Abstract
ABSTRACT Using the knowledge of the two phase diffusion etch model the registration properties for low energy α-particles (MeV-region) of Daicel cellulose nitrate could be drastically improved. The two step process of soaking the exposed material in low temperature NaOH (+2.4°C) before etching at 50°C was applied. Experimental results are given and implications on the diffusion etch model are dicussed.
