Abstract

It is known that the curriculum is an important basis for teachers to use as a reference for carrying out learning activities. Therefore, this research aims to describe the implementation of science and science learning in elementary schools that implement the Merdeka curriculum. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of 2 elementary school teachers. Data collection techniques consist of interviews and observations followed by instruments, namely a list of questions and observation sheets. The data analysis technique uses descriptive data by providing a general description of the research findings. The results of this research show that during the science and science learning activities, the teachers have implemented and are committed to the implementation of the independent curriculum, so that they apply innovative learning models and strategies. On the other hand, it can be seen that after analyzing the research findings, it shows that the implementation of ongoing learning is based on the principles of education according to Ki Hajar Dewantara. Therefore, the application of this independent curriculum should be widely applicable and implementable for various types of subjects in elementary schools in particular
