Abstract

Setiap proses manajemen dalam lembaga pendidikan menentukan perkembangan lembaga tersebut, seperti halnya manajemen mutu Pondok Pesantren Sabilurrosyad Gasek Malang. Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui implementasi dari penerapan Total Quality Management di Pondok Pesantren Sabilurrosyad Gasek Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data yang relevan dengan penelitian dikumpulkan melalui cara observasi dan wawancara. Setelah data terkumpul selanjutnya data direduksi, dianalisis dan disimpulkan sesuai dengan teknik Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Pesantren Sabilurrosyad Gasek Malang telah menggunakan Total Quality Management model Hensler dan Brumell dengan memuat beberapa prinsip, mulai dari prinsip manajemen yang berfokus pada pelanggan, adanya perbaikan yang terjadi secara berkesinambungan dan keterlibatan seluruh pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan secara total. Di samping itu, hasil penelitian juga menampilkan kelebihan dan kekurangan Total Quality Management yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Sabilurrosyad Gasek Malang. This study was rainy to determine the implementation of the application of Total Quality Management at the Sabilurrosyad Gasek Islamic Boarding School in Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data relevant to research is collected through observation and interviews. After the data is collected, then the data is reduced, analyzed, and concluded according to the Miles and Huberman techniques. The results of the research conducted by researchers showed that the Sabilurrosyad Gasek Malang Islamic Boarding School had used the Total Quality Management of the Hensler and Brumell Model by containing several principles, ranging from the principles of management that focused on customers, the improvement that occurred on an ongoing basis and involvement of all educators and education personnel in total. In addition, the results of the study also show the advantages and disadvantages of Total Quality Management which is implemented in the Sabilurrosyad Gasek Islamic Boarding School in Malang.
