Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of success of learning science science learning outcomes by applying the cooperative learning model numbered head together for Class IX.B students of Junior High School 1 Tapen in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The study used Classroom Action Research because not all of the variables or symptoms that appeared could be measured and controlled strictly, but in this study the researchers only measured the cognitive aspects of students in improving learning outcomes. Action Research Research classes in which the subject is treated are then measured as a result of the need for the subject. This classroom action research was carried out in class IX.B Junior High School 1 Tapen which is located at Jalan Raya Cindogo, Tapen District, Bondowoso for 3 months, from February to April 2020. In this study, the tools or instruments used by the researcher were 1). Learning Outcomes Test, and 2). Observation sheet. While data collection techniques used in this study through 1). Observation, 2). Documentation and 3). Test. The application of the numbered head together learning model in science learning can improve student learning outcomes at Junior High School Negeri 1 Tapen. This can be seen from the indicators of success in the form of student learning outcomes and the learning process. The learning process will determine the level of student learning outcomes. The value of student learning completeness in the first cycle was 40%, then in the second cycle it increased to 93.33%.
