Abstract
2D animation is currently still in demand and produced by various countries. There are many techniques developed in 2D animation, such as the common techniques, namely frame by frame and cut out, which each have their own advantages and disadvantages. As technology develops, several new techniques are starting to be developed, one of which is the motion tracking technique. Motion Tracking is a way to record the movement of a particular object in a scene using a camera. The movement recording process includes the X and Y axes on 2-Dimensional objects, as well as the X, Y and Z axes on 3-Dimensional objects. In this research, 2D animated character modeling will be carried out which will be moved using camera recording and will later be recorded using the Live2D application by applying motion tracking techniques so that efficiency and excellence will be obtained in using this technique, especially in the movements that can be achieved in 2D animation.
