Abstract

This research shows how the traditional art of Ketoprak Langen Budoyo as an effort to preserve the local culture of the Dukuh village community, Repaking. The background is the condition of the community that has artistic and cultural potential but has not been maximally developed so that new innovations are needed. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method using a case study design. Data collection techniques through direct observation in the field, namely located in Dukuh Village, Repaking and through direct interviews with members of the Ketoprak Langen Budyo art group and village leaders who know the existence of arts and culture in Dukuh Repaking. From the results of the research the author found that the formation of Ketoprak Langen Budoyo is very necessary in an effort to preserve the arts and culture of the community, especially in Repaking Dukuh Village. The formation of ketoprak cultural arts groups is very beneficial for the sustainability of community cultural arts, especially ketoprak art. Until now, the art of Langen Budoyo Ketoprak has existed in the community, but because it has not been maximally developed, it is feared that if it is not preserved, its existence will gradually disappear. The formation of the Ketoprak Art Group is very important to support the preservation of arts and culture and increase community income.
