Abstract
An employee experiences fulfilled only when both work and none work facets of life are matching with his or her needs. Work life balance is the extent to which an employee experiences these facets satisfactorily. The tensions between the work life and personal life are managed by having proper policies, systems, supportive management and various flexible provisions at work place. Companies have realised the importance of the work life balance with respect to the productivity and creativity of the employees. Certain policies are statutory whereas others are voluntarily implemented. In this article, the various work life balance has been a much debated conversation amongst business fraternity for years. The work life balance has been damaged due to various reasons like technological advancements, devices, and social media due to which it has become difficult for employees to separate work from their personal life. There is significant impact of work life balance on health and wellness of an individual. Research has found that there is less time between work and bed time, the less time to unwind, let our creative juices to flaw. A balance work/life direction helps in enhancing employer brand value.
