Abstract

In the last decades, climate changes start to have a significant impact on society and environment. Extreme temperatures affect more often the functioning of fresh air ventilation systems, as they are designed according to specific standards and norms, without considering the extreme weather events. The main object of this study is to analyze the extreme weather events registered in six major cities from Romania, based on daily observation data for outdoor air temperature variations (minimum and maximum). The analysis covers the outdoor air temperature data recorded by the local weather stations from these cities over a period of 9 years, between 2011 and 2019.
