Abstract
Distributed generation (DG) plays an important role in power system. DG supports a customer on-site and it also provides support to the distribution network to which it is connected. The penetration of DG helps in improving the reliability of the distribution system. The reliability of the system also depends on the process of isolation of faulty section of the distribution system. This paper studies the effects of isolation process of faulty sections on reliability of the radial distribution system while DG is connected to the system.
