Abstract
Antibiotics are agents that help to handle infection in humans. The impact of using broad spectrum antibiotics and uncontrollable is resistance. Beside resistance, the use of antibiotics also disturbs normal flora in human body. Impact from normal flora disruption is diarrhea, constipation, even cancer on gastrointestinal. The gastrointestinal normal flora alteration can happen even antibiotic was given from other route as intravenous. The aim of this research was to get information about impact of using antibiotic to gastrointestinal normal flora. This research is qualitative research with narrative review approach. From 64 journals there are 5 journals that aprropriate wih criteria. The data obtained analyzed with narrative descriptive. This result suggest that there is relation using antibiotic to gastrointestinal normal flora. The impact of using antibiotic can profitable or damage. Profitable impact include antibiotic in cognitive functiont, but damage impact emerge in Candida albicans growth and S.aureus and E.coli that high in gastrointestinal so that can disturb gastrointestinal normal flora.
