Abstract
The contribution considers the beauty of Helen under the category of the sublime. This perspective allows us to consider that there is an impossible foundation to the Trojan War, a void that reveals that perhaps even in the Iliad a reason for war is missing. Euripides, in the tragedy Helen, radicalizes this trait, taking Helen to the realm of the dead, for a radical destruction-regeneration of her image.
