Abstract

The present study is to explore to determine the bioactive components and in vitro cytotoxicity of the chloroform extract of Annona squamosa analyzed. Materials and Methods: The aerial parts of chloroform extract of the medicinal plant Annona squamosa were used to regulate the bioactive components and their in vitro analysis of cytotoxicity was ceased by vero and human breast MCF-7 cell lines were analyzed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry and MTT assay respectively. Results: The present study envisages 12 phytocompounds and their significant cytotoxic role on Vero as well as human breast carcinoma and MCF-7 cell lines. Conclusion: Herbal medicinal plants have been extensively studied for their possible medicinal value as primary source drugs. Obviously, the natural products from the herbal medicinal sources will continue to be extremely important as sources of medicinal agents.
