Abstract

In order to improve the computational efficiency of structural reliability analysis under random and interval uncertainties, a hybrid sampling method is proposed in this paper. The basic idea of the proposed method is to integrate the Bucher experimental design and Latin hypercube sampling (LHS). Firstly, the sampling of random variables and the sampling of interval variables are respectively conducted according to Bucher experimental design and LHS. Then each random sample will be combined with each interval sample to form the new sample point. One e example is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed sampling method.
