Abstract
The origins of postmodern reflection on threats to human security are analyzed. It isjustified that the emergence of irrationalistic philosophical currents, existentialism and especiallypsychoanalysis, is a reaction to the situation that is happening, correcting the concept of securitybeyond the rational. It is shown that the understanding of security in non-classical philosophy goesbeyond the usual understanding of the problem of eliminating threats.
