Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of student interest in carrying out learning so that it requires interesting media so that student interest increases in distance learning. This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the relationship between video and fifth grade students' interest in science subjects. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Purwasari, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. This research uses correlational quantitative method. In this study, the fifth grade students with a total of 55 students will be the population. While in data collection using observation techniques and questionnaires. The instrument in this research is by distributing questionnaires. The validity of the questionnaire before being carried out must be tested. The data collection instrument used a 5-choice Likert scale, namely strongly agree, agree, undecided, disagree and strongly disagree. The results of the study provide information that tcount is higher than ttable, namely 6.821 > 1.673 for the error rate of 5%, while the result of significance is less than 0.05, which is 0.000. Based on the results of the Correlation Coefficient Test of 0.684 or in the range of 0.60 - 0.799, which means that the level of relationship between learning videos and interest in learning in science subjects is in the category of high correlation (strong). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning videos and interest in learning in science subjects for fifth grade students at SDN 1 Purwasari.
