Abstract: The Relationship of Self-Confidence with Cheating Behavior in Class VII Students at SMP Negeri 1 Weleri”. Thesis of Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Education. PGRI Semarang University. Advisor I: Dr. Dini Rakhmawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. Advisor II: Dr. Ismah, M.Pd The research on the relationship between self-confidence and students' cheating behavior was motivated by the discovery of students who cheated socially, the cheating behavior shown was done by asking friends for answers during tests/exams by copying, giving codes to ask or give answers. Besides that, cheating is also done by sending answers via cellphone This research is a type of quantitative research. Ex post facto research method with a correlational approach. The population used in this study were 7th grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Weleri. which is used as a try out is class VII B . While class VII A, VII C, VII D, VII E, VII F, VII G, VII H as the research sample. The sampling used is cluster random sampling technique. The data of this research were obtained through the students' self-confidence scale and the students' cheating behavior scale. The results of the correlation analysis between self-confidence and cheating behavior of students are the relationship between self-confidence and cheating behavior of students of -0.280 which means that there is a negative relationship between self-confidence and cheating behavior, and the level of relationship between these variables is in the low category. Pembimbing II: Dr. Ismah, M.Pd Penelitian hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan perilaku menyontek peserta didik ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ditemukannya peserta didik yang melakukan menyontek secara sosial, perilaku menyontek yang ditunjukan dilakukan dengan cara meminta jawaban teman saat ulangan/ujian dengan cara menyalin, memberikan kode untuk meminta ataupun memberi jawaban. Selain itu menyontek juga dilakukan dengan cara mengirim jawaban lewat handphone Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Metode penelitian ex post facto dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 7 di SMP Negeri 1 Weleri. yang digunakan sebagai try out yaitu kelas VII B . Sedangkan kelas VII A, VII C, VII D, VII E, VII F, VII G, VII H sebagai sampel penelitian. Sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui skala kepercayaan diri peserta didik dan skala perilaku menyontek peserta didik. Hasil analisis korelasi antara kepercayaan diri dengan perilaku menyontek peserta didik ialah hubungan kepercayaan diri dengan perilaku menyontek peserta didik sebesar -0,280 yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara kepercayaan diri dengan perilaku menyontek, serta tingkat hubungan diantara variabel tersebut berada dalam kategori rendah Kata kunci : Kepercayaan Diri, Perilaku Mencontek
