Abstract

This study aims to give an overview of the relationship between emotional intelligence with learning on student achievement and student class at Vocational High School Honor Mother of Jakarta. This study uses quantitative methods. The collection in this study using a questionnaire of emotional intelligence and grades of male and female students. Analytical techniques used to process research data analysis techniques are Pearson Product Moment correlation. Using the research method used is sampling Saturated and female students in vocational high schools Bunda Mulia Jakarta as many as 112 people. The results of these studies show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence with learning achievement in grade one students and Vocational High School Honor Mother of Jakarta, but no significant relationship. This can be seen from the results of Pearson Product Moment correlation test of r = 0222, these results indicate that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence with learning achievement. Correlation test was then performed back to the five dimensions of emotional intelligence to know the dimensions anywhere that has a relationship, it turns out from the correlation test repeated on each dimension there are two-dimensional theories which have though weak correlation. The conclusion of this study is the result of student achievement and student there is no strong relationship with emotional intelligence, but there are other factors beyond emotional intelligence associated with learning achievement.
