Abstract

In considering business and education working with and for each other, this article looks at a very narrow, though very important field, which comes to light when the advertising departments of companies seek to inform the education world about their output. The resultant development in this area over the last decade or so is very indicative of how this ‘coming together’ and ‘working together’ is progressing. Examples are very varied, and include advanced computer language learning programs, programs for artists and day to day workers in the illustrating world, and an intriguing training program from the Stockholm Transport organization which has been made available to schools. That is not to mention the new multi‐million pound Medicine and Dental facility in King's College in the University of London, most of which was provided for by a biscuit manufacturer!
