ABSTRACT As an international expert at the Research Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology, Jishou University, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, China, on UNESCO Local Indigenous Knowledge Systems/UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues/UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs projects with Kam people and ministries responsible for ethnic development, I asked my colleagues this question: How did the Cultural Revolution affect your culture?
