Abstract

The problem of consciousness is the basic in psychology and is of strategic importance for humanity. Such knowledge will allow people to better know themselves, understand the sources of thoughts, actions, mechanisms of behavior that will enable to predict certain events, organize and direct their own activities and the activities of the collective.The purpose of the article was to research different aspects of the problem of consciousness in the most popular schools in psychology.The views of the representatives of the leading destinations such as the introspective psychology, behaviorism, cognitive psychology, associative psychology, humanistic psychology, psychoanalysis, phenomenological analysis and others have their origin in the philosophies of consciousness. Tract consciousness scientists in different ways, and in some schools (behaviorism) are not taken into consideration, or relegated to the background (psychoanalysis). Given that all the ideas about consciousness are valuable for the development of psychology, not one school did not manage to solve the problem objectively.Conducted an analytical review and investigation is not complete, but the article material could be a theoretical basis for further study of the historical aspect of the issue and use for practical purposes.
