Historical Lessons of the EU Strengthening the Sense of Community and the Enlightenment to China—based on the Perspective of Cultural Edentity Theory1

Abstract

From the perspective of cultural identity theory, this paper discusses the historical lessons encountered by the European Union in the process of strengthening the Sense of Community, and analyzes the enlightenment of these lessons to China in promoting the construction of cultural identity and forging the Sense of Community of the Chinese nation. Firstly, this paper reviews the evolution of cultural identity in the process of EU integration, then analyzes the EU in the strengthening of Sense of Community challenges and difficulties, to cast on the Chinese nation sense of community to provide different research perspective, which is beneficial to better solve the practical problems encountered in the new era of national work, better safeguard national unity. Finally, it puts forward the reference significance and main measures for China in forging the Sense of Community of the Chinese nation.
