Abstract
<h2>Summary</h2> A case of histoplasmosis in a female infant 3 months of age is reported. This is the fifth case in infancy to be recorded. <i>Histoplasma capsulatum</i> was cultured from the blood stream twenty-fourhours before death. The fungus is characterized by large, warty chlamydospores in thefilamentous form on Sabouraud's agar at room temperature. The filamentous form is converted to the yeastlike form by cultivation on sealed blood agar slants at 37° C.
