Abstract
Ahistopathological study of the parasitism by metacercaries of genera Clinostomum was caried out in 26 fishes of the species Hoplosternum littorale. The fishes were collected in Guama River - Belem City - Para State. 85% of them showed the parasitism. Microscopically, degenerated muscular fibers around of the cystics formations and moderated inflamatory response with mononuclear cells infliltration were observed, being diagnosed as parasitary miositis
