Abstract
This article investigates the discursive policy of the two electoral actors in the presidential elections in Romania, 2019 - Claus Iohannis vs Viorica Dăncilă. Given that the campaign favorite, according to the polls, Claus Iohannis, refused to participate in televised debates, all messages and remarks between the two were publicized through the new communication channels - especially on personal accounts on Facebook. Attack on the person, media lynching, fake news - all were present in the electoral communication of the two rival staff. At the same time, the study includes an analysis of the evolution of participation of Moldovan citizens who also have Romanian citizenship in the Romanian elections and the evolution of the perception of the subject of Union in this space.
