Abstract
A reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography method was developed to determine concentrations of iron-(II) in Chinese loess, aerosols, rainwater, and seawater. This method was isocratic, rapid, sensitive, and reproductible. Iron-(II) forms a stable complex ion with the reagent ferrozine, [Fe(FZ) 3 ] 2+ in a pH range of 4-10. By measuring the absorbance of [Fe(FZ) 3 ] 2+ was separated from ferrozine and was detected in 6 min
