Abstract
ABSTRACT An increasing use of series capacitors to overcome the inductive voltage drops and to improve the power factor in distribution systems has revived the interest in ferrorsonance phenomenon. In this paper, an analytical approach and stability criteria for the sustained subharmonic ferroresonance phenomenon presented. Certain comparisons between experimental and calculated results are included.
