Abstract
Abstract HALCOMB 425 is a hot work tool steel having excellent resistance to shock and abrasion at elevated temperatures. It is recommended for brass and copper extrusion dies, forging dies and inserts, and hot punches. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-223.
