Abstract
This study discusses the stages of memorization and the skills involved in Quranic memorization as essential aspects of the Quran memorization process. Within this context, an analysis was conducted on the stages of memorization through the lens of the memorization skills involved in the new memorization process (hifz jadid). The methodology of this study employs a literature review and document analysis related to the methodology of Quranic memorization. The findings of the study reveal three aspects of Quranic memorization skills, encompassing the memorization limit, repetition limit, and recitation levels. The results indicate that the stages of memorization do not end at the quantity of Quranic verses that have been memorized (tasmik), but also encompass the evaluation of memorization skills. Therefore, this study is expected to provide an approach to the Quran memorization process, along with the specialization of suitable methods and techniques for memorization.
