Abstract

The transport equation has been applied to the calculation of the arrival time curves of H+ and D+ ions in neon. The theoretical curves were in good agreement with the measured values. Fitting side-by-side the curves resulting from theoretical calculations and the measured results the drift velocities, mobilities, diffusion coefficients by drift experiments can be calculated.
