Abstract

Single crystals of L-Tartaric acid doped Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate (LTADP) were grown by slow solvent evaporation technique at ambient conditions. Single Crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD) analysis was carried out to know the lattice parameters and structure of the grown crystal. Fourier transform infrared spectral analysis was carried out to examine the presence of various functional groups in the LTADP single crystals. Thermo gravimetric (TG) and Differential thermal analyses (DTA) were used to study the thermal properties of the grown crystal. Second harmonic generation (SHG) efficiency measurement was done to examine the enhancement in the nonlinear optical characteristics of the grown crystals. Intensity can be observed from the photoluminescence study. The close and open aperture Z-scan configuration has been used to evaluate the nature of third order nonlinear optical refraction (n2) and absorption (β) for the grown LTADP single crystal
