Abstract

Bulk AgSbSe 2 was prepared by melting the constituents in stoichiometric proportions in a sealed quartz ampoule. Films were prepared by single-source thermal evaporation in vacuum. The bulk material and the films were characterized by X-ray and electron diffraction studies and the results are reported. The crystallization of amorphous thin films by electron bombardment inside the electron microscope and also by external thermal annealing was observed.
