Abstract

Group IV transition metal complexes having alkynes, alkenes, and allyl ligands are overviewed in this Chapter. The alkynes, alkenes, and allyl ligands are often included as key reaction intermediates in stoichiometric and catalytic organic transformations. Alkyne and alkene-coordinated complexes are mainly classified into two types, coordination to d0 metal centers and d2 metal centers, and their syntheses and fundamental reactivity are included. Allyl complexes are categorized according to the synthetic methods.
