Abstract

This article is devoted to the use of grammatical metaphor as a stylistic device in the English language and focuses on the textual functions of grammatical transposition. There given its variety of forms considered as well as their linguistic characteristics within the morphological categories. Thus, the examples of this stylistic device from “The Forsyte Saga” novel series by J. Galsworthy are reviewed to that end.
